Adding Badges to an Article Template

Hello. In this video, we're going to show you how to add some trust badges to a blog article in your Shopify store. So here you can see I've got my demo article. And by the end of this we'll have some trust badges on this article page. So we're going to go into the Shopify admin. And we're going to go down to the badge app, which I've already pinned to my list of apps in my my admin.

And I'll click on Badgezilla and it's going to open up to the choose badges section. And I'm going to go to the Article Templates section. You can see I've already added badges in some of the templates but article is empty. So what we're going to do is we're going to add some badges in. So the first thing I'm going to do is because there's so many badges here, you can see we have hundreds and hundreds of them.

I'm going to search. So I'm just going to search for the word certified. And I want a certified reseller badge. And let's find another badge. Let's look for experts and expert support. I'm in San Diego, so let's do San Diego based. Let's have a guarantee. And I'm going to go with the 100% heartfelt guarantee. Now, if I clear out my search, query there, you'll see that the four that I've picked are highlighted in this big, long list of them.

So I'm going to save and close. And now my badges show up and I know already gone into the app under the badge settings section and set up the colors and the sizing of my badges. So now what I'm going to do is I'm going to add these badges to my article template. So I'm going to do that by going to sales channels online store.

And I'm going to go into theme customization for my currently live theme. And I created a unique template for my article. And let's, bring that up blog post. And it's the badge demo template. Now all I have to do is under the template section, I want to add a section in and we're going to add in the badges section.

Now you can see here here's your theme's sections. We want to toggle over to the apps. And that's where you'll see the Article Badges section from Badgezilla. So we click on that. And now it's down at the bottom of our page. If we want to we can adjust some of the alignment or the margin on the top and the bottom.

Let's say we want to meet tighter here and make it to 20 pixels instead of 40. And we can also click and drag just like in any section in your theme. I can grab that and move it up and down and place it wherever I want to place it. On my article template now, I like the changes that I've done.  I'm going to save it.

And now if we go back out to the article, we looking at and refresh the page, we'll see our badges on that article page. So that's how you can pick a set of badges you want to display on an article. Apply it to the article template of your choice and then display it on your articles.
